The "Moot Shanghai" International Commercial Arbitration Moot (hereinafter referred to as Moot Shanghai) drew to a triumphant close on March 25, 2022. The School of Law, Loyola University Chicago, won the first prize out of 56 renowned universities from 19 countries across the world after one week of fierce competition.

The Moot Shanghai this year was co-hosted by East China University of Political Science and Law and Shanghai University of Political Science and Law, and jointly sponsored by Shanghai International Arbitration Center and Shanghai Arbitration Commission. As one of the organizing law firms, Tahota Law Firm dispatched 11 lawyers (Zhou Yarui, Jia Shengnan, Hu Xian, Wang Xiaofeng, Zhang Di, He Chunyu, Tan Fang, Chen Guoyan, Dan Jingling, Wang Yonghan and Li Xiyu) from the branch offices in Beijing, Shanghai, Nanjing, Chongqing, Jinan and Urumqi. Among these lawyers, Zhou Yarui was invited to act as the arbitrator for the eighth finals. All the lawyers gave professional and pertinent comments on the performance of each contestant during the competition and answered the questions of participating teams based on their experience in commercial arbitration over the years and solid theoretical foundation.

Moot Shanghai International Commercial Arbitration Moot was one of the premoots of Willem C. Vis International Commercial Arbitration Moot. It is a platform not only for contestants to show themselves, but also for law firms to demonstrate their strengths to young law talents.
